1 Inch Sterling Silver Large Round St. Luke Medal, Patron Saint Of Doctors and Artists

1 x 7/8 inch satin and antiqued finish sterling silver St. Luke large round medal on a 24 inch stainless steel rhodium plated chain. The pendant features a raised image of Saint Luke on the front, who is shown with a calf behind him (representing the four animals of Revelation 4:7-8) and a caduceus, the symbol of doctors. Saint Luke is the author of the Gospel According to Luke and the Acts of the Apostles. He was also a companion to St. Paul the Apostle. He is believed to have been a martyr, reportedly having been hanged from an olive tree.
